Today I’m converting some movie clips in AVI format to animated GIF, using GAP plugin for the GIMP. GIMP, for the unfamiliar, is like Photoshop, only open source, and its name stands for GNU Image Manipulation Program. GAP (GIMP Animation Package), or GIMP-GAP as it’s known, is also a recursive acronym. For fun, I thought I’d expand it out.
